Urformen De Kunst
Karl Blossfeldt was a German photographer celebrated by modernists for his pioneering close-up imagery of plants and life. In over three decades Blossfeldt produced 6000 photos using a homemade camera and lenses that could magnify objects to capture the detail trapped within his subjects. In 1928 these portfolios were published under the title 'Urformen De Kunst (Art forms in Nature)' It became and overnight sensation and Blossfeldt was celebrated for his alluring photography and work.
